Linda Farrow prides itself on combining timeless design, uncompromising quality, and unabashed luxury to elevate everyday sunglasses. Farrow herself was originally a fashion designer and established her eponymous brand in 1970, designing innovative eyewear for houses such as Balenciaga, Emilio Pucci, and Yves Saint Laurent.
Ongoing experimentation with her original shapes and styles continues to anchor the signature assortment, which was relaunched in 2003 by Farrow’s son, Simon Jablon, and then girlfriend, now wife Tracy Sedino, when the pair discovered Farrow’s trove of vintage eyewear: 2,000 original designs from the 1970s and 1980s. “I always knew the vintage archive existed, but I hadn’t grasped the level of creativity and the value of my mother’s work—it was just mum’s stuff,” Jablon has said. “But we were able to start our company simply on the back of what we had.”
Today the company counts Dries Van Noten, Oscar de la Renta, The Row, and Raf Simons among its many emerging and established designer collaborators.
